A consequence of the great Irish famine was an assisted emigration scheme that bought 4,000 Irish orphans to Australia between 1846-52. A total of 621 girls arrived in Adelaide, of which several came to the Encounter Bay Victor Harbor area.
During this one hour walk and talk around Victor Harbor you will hear some of their stories. Tour also includes admission to the Victor Harbor National Trust Museum.
